Privacy, without the small print maze.
This notice describes the information Heliportal uses and the choices you have. It applies to UK visitors, guest players and account holders. Effective 22 October 2026.
Information you choose to provide
Registration asks for your email, screen name, date of birth, password and eligibility and terms confirmations. Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes. Support receives your reply email, selected topic and message. Personal albums store their titles, themes, game choices and optional notes. Avatar and decorative badge choices are saved as preferences. Please keep unnecessary personal information out of these fields.
Information created by using the service
For accounts we record session identifiers, virtual-credit balances, versioned balance changes, rounds, bonus choices, credit activity, favourites, preferences, reminder intervals and account-break dates. These records provide continuity and protect against duplicate changes. Guest play uses temporary session state, a fictional balance and round records which expire with that visit.
Why we use it
We use account and game information to provide the service you request, administer access and apply game rules. Eligibility and terms records support age restrictions and our agreement with you. Security controls and limited request logs help prevent misuse and investigate faults. Support information lets us record and address your request. Optional measurement, if enabled, requires a separate permission choice.
Cookies and optional services
An essential session cookie supports sign-in and guest play. Preference storage remembers choices you make, including sound and favourites. Optional analytics is off unless you allow it and a measurement service is enabled. Advertising and third-party sign-in are not enabled. Read the Cookie Policy and use Cookie Preferences to review your choice at any time.
Access and sharing
Account and support records are available only to authorised service operators and necessary technical providers. We do not sell personal data or publish your email, date of birth, balance, history or album notes. If you explicitly share an album, anyone with its link can view its title, theme and selected games for up to thirty days. You may close the link at any time; creating another link or editing or deleting the album closes the previous one. A configured transactional-mail service may receive a recovery or support message. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Retention and security
Account records remain while needed to provide your account, address disputes or meet a legal obligation. Request account deletion through Support; we will explain any information that must be retained. Guest visits expire within two hours. Account sessions expire within twelve hours. Recovery links expire after thirty minutes, are single-use, and invalidate earlier links. Reasonable safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your UK privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing under UK data-protection law. You can withdraw optional analytics permission without affecting game access. Contact care@heliportal.com or use Support with enough detail to identify your request safely. We may verify account ownership. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
